Audrey Van Dyke
Audrey Van Dyke has served in a variety of Environmental, Health, Safety and Energy positions primarily in industry but also in consulting and state and federal government. During her 30 plus year career, Audrey has been leading the shift for organizations to move from compliance to EHSE improvement, to operational excellence and sustainability. The foundational requirement for organizations to make this shift is an effective management system, taking into account planning, processes, procedures, and implementation to improve EHSE performance. Such a system must also be integrated into and reflective of the culture of the organization.
Having been in EHSE leadership roles, Audrey knows what it means to develop, implement and maintain a management system. She has achieved performance improvement by effective performance reporting, engaging management, collaborating with key stakeholders, auditing and developing people. She believes in the importance of effective EHSE data management and the power of accurate EHSE data to accelerate change and increase awareness.
Audrey was a leading force in connecting ISO management system elements to the work associated with World Class Manufacturing and Sustainability. She saw the linkages and developed EHSE business processes to serve them all efficiently and effectively.
Audrey also has extensive experience in managing EHSE projects and teams to execute projects of varying scopes and budgets and meeting deadlines. Clients value her hands-on and keep-it-simple approach as well as her strategic and results oriented focus to solve EHSE challenges.
Audrey holds a Master of Science Degree in Civil Engineering and a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Environmental Sciences both from the University of Virginia.
Lynn McIntosh
Lynn McIntosh is a leader developing, implementing, and sustaining EHS&E management systems. Over the past 30 plus years she has served in a variety of Environmental, Health, Safety, and Energy positions working to help improve environmental health safety and energy performance.
Lynn believes in the power of the management system to improve environmental, health, safety, and energy performance. Clients value her experience, collaborative approach and ability to complete tasks, and meet rigorous deadlines. Most organizations are challenged with turnover and less than perfect succession planning within the EHS&E business process. The management system whether certified or not, provides the foundation for the EHS&E functions, and can substantially support the organization as it can rely on the system.
Early in her career, Lynn understood successful EHS&E management is based on the principle of plan what you do, do what you plan. Many organizations rely on reactive tools and miss planning plus data analysis to focus where improvement and control is required.
Lynn has led or assisted hundreds of clients through the management system process for environmental, health and safety, and energy management systems. She uses the Plan Do Check Act cycle to bring structure and control, assign roles and responsibilities, and give leadership an organized means to make decisions, and measure improvement. She has used this process with automotive clients, truck and bus manufacturers, agriculture and construction equipment manufacturers, mining industry, food manufacturing and distributors, heavy steel, plastics manufacturers, among others.
